Are the Church and the kingdom the same?

A King rules in his kingdom. The church is refered to as Christs bride. If the church and the kingdom are the same we can conclude that the King rules in his bride. Doesnt make sense. The King rules with his bride in his kingdom. The kingdom of God is much greater than the church. Church and the kingdom are not the same thing.
